Sandra G. Morley Physical Education Student Leadership Award Winners

On Monday, May 8, 2017, eight students from Menands were honored at the Sandra G. Morley Physical Education Student Leadership Award Ceremony held at Hudson Valley Community College.  More than 680 elementary and middle school students from the Capital Region were in attendance and honored at the ceremony. 

 

This award is given to students who display outstanding character, citizenship, sportsmanship, leadership, and excellence in Physical Education.  These students were selected based on the following criteria.

 

1. Demonstrates responsible personal and social behavior, sportsmanship and citizenship

2. Desires to learn and improve

3. Exhibits a physically active lifestyle

4. Demonstrates leadership and is a positive influence on peers

5. Has contributed toward the total school program

 

Menands School recognized the following winners for 2017; Jack Kalteux, Sneha Majo, Quinn Mitchell, and Carly Taylor from fifth grade. Yaaseen Brown, Abby Fay, Anna Pustay, and Nicholas Smith from eighth grade. Congratulations to the winners!
