Students in Mrs. Kennedy’s kindergarten class had the opportunity to learn about the science and myth behind rainbows as a part of the Catching Rainbows program with Ben LaPoint of The Children’s Museum at Saratoga.
Mr. LaPoint read “Why?: A Sciencey, Rhymey Guide to Rainbows” by Billy Dunne to the class before helping them create their own rainbow catchers. Students learned how light refraction and reflection work to display rainbows.
