9. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

10. BUSINESS MATTERS
Discussion Item
  • Building Project Update-Dr. Long said that she is happy with the progress that has been made throughout the building. The new cafeteria is up and running. She plans to use the space in the future for upcoming events.

14. SUPERINTENDENT’S COMMENTS

  • Recent PD opportunities- The recent PD day continued to build on information covered during  other conference days in regards to the health and wellness of our students.
  • Teacher/Staff Appreciation- The staff is appreciated everyday for all of the work that they do but in recognition of Appreciation Week breakfast was provided on Wednesday..
  • Citizen Scholar Dinner-This was a wonderful event hosted by the MAT to recognize all of the effort put forth by our students during the year. Dr. Long thanked Mrs. Vandenberg, Mr. Tehan,Mrs. Hayes and the MAT. The Board also congratulated the students on their achievements.
  • PE Awards- Dr. Long congratulated all of the students that received awards this year. Dr. Long also thanked Mr. Ahl and Mrs. Bettinger for their commitment to the students and the families that came to the event at HVCC to support the students .  
    15. PRINCIPAL’S COMMENTS
    • Third Quarter Citizen/Scholar/Honor Roll-Mrs. Schroeder congratulated all of the students honored at this event.
    • Spring Book Fair- Mrs. Schroeder thanked Mrs. Jankowski for all of her hard work to make this event a success once again. The children and families always enjoy it.
    • PTA Update- Mrs. Schroeder was glad to see that the PTA Garage Sale was a success and Thanked the PTA for hosting the Google Internet Awesome event. Another great event for the students and their families.
    16.INFORMATIONAL MATERIAL
    • Evening of the Arts. Art Show- May 21st at 6:00 p.m.
    • Spring Concert -May 21st at 6:30 p.m.
    • School Board Vote and Elections-May 21st from Noon-8:00 p.m.
    • Memorial Day Weekend. No school 5/24 and 5/27.
    • PTA Meeting- June 5th at 6:30 p.m.
    • Next Board of Education Meeting- Monday June 10th at 6:30 p.m.

    17. MISCELLANEOUS

          Mrs. Wilson said that she enjoyed the Citizen Scholar Dinner in the new cafeteria.

          Mr. Masline thanked the PTA for all of the great events that they make possible every year and Thanked the staff and students for all of their help.

          Mrs. Schroeder thanked Mr. Nevins for the donation of school supplies for the students.
