Claims Auditor Annual Meeting- Michael Wolf
A presentation was made by the district claims auditor Michael Wolf in regards to audit procedures and protocol.
CS ARCH presented a financial update to the board in regards to the building project.

2018-2020 Intermunicipal Agreement-(Gr. 9-12 Educational Services) Watervliet City School District
Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the intermunicipal agreement between Menands UFSD and the Watervliet City School District for students in grades 9-12 for the 2018-2020 school years. This is a two year agreement.

Enclosed for the Board is a copy of the Agreement for Services contract from Kelly Brock(Consultant), From Behavioral Transformations Licensed Applied Behavior Analysis Services, PLLC to provide Support services for behavioral challenges.
Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the 2019-2020 Agreement for Services contract from Kelly Brock from Behavioral Transformations Licensed Applied Behavior Analysis Services, PLLC to provide support services for behavioral challenges. At a rate of $115.00 per hour as per attached agreement.

Enclosed for the Board is a copy of the 2019-2020 Agreement for Services from the Center for Disability Services for one student attending the Program.

Substitute Teaching Appointment – Middle School Math – Noel Santiago
Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District appoint Noel Santiago to a long-term substitute teaching position in Middle School Math commencing on September 23, 2019 through on or about February 19, 2019 at Step 1 in accordance with the MAT contract.

11. SUPERINTENDENT’S COMMENTS
Recent Professional Development Opportunities
- NYSSBA Convention- Dr. Long thanked the Board members for attending the NYSSBA Convention and said that she felt it was a great event with a lot of valuable information.
- Superintendent’s Conference Day- Dr. Long shared with the BOE that the staff had a very productive day of learning.
- Board Of Education Recognition- Dr. Long presented the BOE members with a certificate and thanked them for their dedication and hard work that they do for the district.
- Upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday- Dr. Long wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
12. PRINCIPAL’S COMMENTS
- Red Ribbon Week- Mrs. Schroeder said that they had a great week and thanked Mrs. Bettinger and Mr. Ahl for all the time they put in to make it a success.
- Scholastic Book Fair-The book fair will be taking place this week. Thank you to Mrs. Lange for organizing the event.
- PTA Updates- Family fun night was a great success. Thank you to everyone that volunteered their time. The PTA family dance will be 11/15 for grades k-8.
13. MISCELLANEOUS
Mr. Diefenderfer congratulated the Cross Country team for a great season and thanked the former graduates that volunteered.
Mrs. Wilson thanked the district for giving the Board the opportunity to attend the NYSSBO Convention. She attended many informative sessions and gained valuable information. Mr. Masline agreed.
A question was asked in regards to the Board of Education Self Evaluation process and will be discussed further in the future.
14. INFORMATIONAL MATERIAL
- PTA Dance Gr. K-8- Friday, November 15th at 5:30-7:00 p.m.
- Parent-Teacher Conferences – Thursday, November 21st – EARLY RELEASE 11:20 a.m.
- Citizen/Scholar/Honor Roll Assembly -Thursday, November 21th at 8:40 a.m.
- Thanksgiving Holiday – November 27-29 – NO SCHOOL
- Next Board of Education Meeting: Monday, December 9, 2019 at 6:30p.m.

Mrs. Mercado announced that the next PTA meeting is 11/19 at 6:30 for anyone that would like to attend. She asked if it would be possible to attain more seating for such events as family fun night, concerts and other events. The events are well attended and not enough seating is available. Menands apparel line is currently for sale by the PTA.
