Enclosed for the Board’s approval are copies of the August 2019 and September 2019 Treasurer’s Reports.  

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the August 2019 and September 2019 Treasurer’s Reports.  

 

District Management Response Letter

         Enclosed for the Board’s approval is the district’s response to the Management Letter in the district external audit as completed by West & Co., CPS’s for the year ended 6/30/19 which require no significant corrective actions. The financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the  respective financial position of the governmental activities, each major fund and the aggregate  remaining fund information of the Menands UFSD as of 6/30/19 and the respective changes in financial position and, where applicable, cash flows thereof for the then year ended in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the USA.

   Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the district’s response to the Management Letter items notes in our audited  financial statements as of June, 30, 2019.

           Donation of Various School  Supplies for the 2019-2020 School Year

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District accept the following donation of various school supplies:

 Mrs. Vanessa Mercado- Spiral Notebooks, loose leaf paper, pens and 2 pocket folders.

Simmons Machine Tool- Binders, notebooks, pens and other supplies.

The McCarthy Family- $40. $20 for each child’s homeroom use.

Alyssa Blake Class of 2019- 5 soccer balls to the Soccer Club.

 Parent Transportation Contract 

 Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the attached Parent transportation contract, for the 2019-2020 school year at the fixed rate per mile allowed by the IRS.

Trustee to Schoharie Area Workers’ Comp. Trust – Kathleen Cietek, Dr. Maureen Long (Alternate)

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free

School District upon the recommendation of the Superintendent appoint Kathy Cietek and Dr. Maureen Long (Alternate) to serve as Trustee  to the Schoharie Area Workers’ Comp.Trust for the 2019-2020 school year.

            Contracts for Approval

Special Education Support Program – The Research Foundation for the State of New  York (SUNY RF)

Enclosed for review and approval of the Board is a contract from The Research Foundation for the State of New York (SUNY RF) for the Special Education Internship Program for the 2019-2020 school year in the amount of $5,750.

 Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the contract from The Research Foundation for the State of New York (SUNY RF) for the Special Education Internship Program for the 2019-2020 school year in the amount of $5,750.

Wildwood School – Agreement for Services 2019-2020 

Enclosed for the Board is a copy of the 2019-2020 Agreement for Services contract from the Wildwood School for one student attending the Program at a cost of $53,471.  

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the 2019-2020 Agreement for Services contract from the Wildwood School for one student attending the Program at a cost of $53,471.

 

11. PERSONNEL MATTERS
Substitute  Custodian – Alberto Cardona

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve Alberto Cardona to a substitute custodian position for the 2019-2020 school year as per the attached benefit agreement. 

Substitute  Teacher Aide, Lunch Monitor and Clerk – Ashley Jewett

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve Ashley Jewett as a substitute Teacher Aide, Lunch Monitor and Clerk for the 2019-2020 school year as per the attached benefit agreement pending fingerprint clearance.

 

Increase Existing Compensation Time

Increase the compensation time from the existing 40 hours per year to “Not to exceed” 250 hours per year for the Maintenance Mechanic and Custodial positions. 

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the increased amount of  compensation from 40 hours per year to “Not to exceed” 250 hours per year for the Maintenance Mechanic and Custodial positions.

Resignations
Deborah Angrisano- Teacher Aide

 Enclosed for the Board is an email from Deborah Angrisano, dated October 8, 2019 resigning  from her position as a Teacher Aide from the Menands Union Free School District effective October 15,2019.

 Resolution     BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District accept the letter of resignation from Deborah Angrisano, dated October 8, 2019,  resigning from her position as a Teacher Aide From the Menands Union Free School District effective October 15, 2019.

 

12. BOARD OF EDUCATION MATTERS

 

Club/Sports/Mentoring/Other Stipends

It is requested that the Board approve the attached revised list of staff member compensation  during the 2019-2020 school year for work performed outside of the regular school  day as per the MAT contract.  

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District  approve the attached revised list of staff member compensation during  2019-2020 school year  for work performed outside of the regular school day as  per the MAT contract.

         CSE/CPSE Recommendations 

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the CSE/CPSE  recommendations as submitted.

Special Education Services Contract – Crossroads Center for Children

Enclosed for the Board of Education is a revised copy of the Crossroads Center for Children  contract for Special Education services for one student for the 2019-2020 school year. 

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the revised contract between Menands School and Crossroads Center for Children for the 2019-2020 school year.

Substitute Teachers – Fully Cleared
