Summer upgrades for the room included new furniture and floor repairs that make it a more “inviting” classroom.

“The biggest take-away from the work is that the kids have more creative space and can move around more freely, working together and being creative,” said art teacher Ryan Gottcent.

Superintendent Jennifer Cannavo said furniture and repairs to the floor in the room make the learning and artistic environment a real, well, piece of art.

Students said they appreciate the upgrades.

“I like the tables because they are better to paint on,” said Lena Luke, a second grade student.

Classmate Kainat Muqeet offered even more praise.

“I like everything about the room,” she said.
