- How will the district’s use of instructional technology support a comprehensive and sustained effort to improve student performance and academic standards, while also addressing the need to provide equitable learning opportunities “everywhere, all the time” (National Technology Plan)?
The district’s use of instructional technology is integral to advancing student achievement and meeting high academic standards while ensuring equitable learning opportunities for all students •everywhere, all the time.• The district will leverage instructional technology to enhance student engagement, personalize learning experiences, and develop critical thinking and digital literacy skills necessary for success in an evoMng world, while also ensuring equitable access to meaningful digital learning experiences that support all students in reaching their full potential. To support this work, the district provides the necessary resources for faculty and staff to design and deliver instruction that meets the diverse needs of learners, fostering deeper understanding of skills and concepts and offering multiple pathways for student engagement.
The district is committed not only to access, but to availability, ensuring that devices and digital resources are accessible both In school and at home. A proactive technology replacement cycle is maintained to ensure students and staff have access to reliable, up-to-date tools that support evolving instructional needs. This plan includes ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and support by dedicated staff, as well as partnerships with outside agencies to ensure continuity of access for all students, particular1y those experiencing homelessness or living in transitional housing. Through these efforts, instructional technology supports a comprehensive, sustained approach to improving student performance and expanding equitable learning opportunities.
