The students spent much of Oct. 1 at the park, helping each other through the park’s rigorous ropes course.

“The trip was a team-building exercise for the students to work together and support each other,” said teacher Tom Schweizer.

Students enjoyed the challenge.

“It was fun–my favorite part was when we were on the zipline,” said Lilana Rivera. “I learned that even though I am scared of heights I am able to conquer my fears.”

Classmate Logan Klami also overcame apprehensions during the trip.

“It helped me overcome the unknown of being on a ropes course,” he said. “We also learned that taking your time, listening to direction and being safe was key to finishing the course.”
