6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District accept  the minutes of the June 8, 2020 meeting.

Donation from Simmons Machine Tool Corporation

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District accept the donation from Simmons Machine and Tool Corporation in the amount of $500.00 for the Yearbook Club .

 

Non-Instructional Salary Schedule

Enclosed is the Non-Instructional Salary Schedule for the 2020-2021 school year.  

 

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the 2020-2021 Non-Instructional Salary Schedule.

8. PERSONNEL MATTERS

Tenure Recommendation – Kerry Wroblewski, Elementary Teacher

It is the Superintendent’s recommendation that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District appoint tenure to Kerry Wroblewski in the Elementary tenure area effective September 1, 2020.

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District appoint tenure to Kerry Wroblewski in the Elementary tenure area effective September 1, 2020.

 Resignations

Teaching Assistant – Sabrina Calderon

 Enclosed for the Board is a letter from Sabrina Calderon, dated June 18, 2020 resigning from her position as a Teaching Assistant from the Menands Union Free School District effective June 30,2020.

Appointments

Homework Club Tutors and Tutors for Students on Home Instruction 

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve Marianne Marchesi for the 2019-2020 school year at a rate of $25.00 per hour. Effective February 10, 2020.

 

Teacher Aide – Ashley Jewett

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve Ashley Jewett as a Teacher Aide effective 10/22/19 through 6/30/20. At the rate of $12.00 per hour. 

 

 Account Clerk I – Sabrina Calderon

 

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the recommendation from the Superintendent to appoint Sabrina Calderon as Account Clerk I, Provisional commencing July 1, 2020.Salary will be in accordance with the Terms and Conditions Agreement.

Consultant for Transition purposes- Lisa Buoniconto

Resolution  BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District authorize Lisa Buoniconto to act in a consultant capacity, as may be requested by the Superintendent on an as needed basis, for the purposes of transitioning to a new  employee. Such consultation shall not exceed 100 hours and shall be payable at hourly rate. 

 

 

Consultant for Transition purposes- Antonietta Schroeder

Resolution  BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District authorize Antonietta Schroeder to act in a consultant capacity, as may be requested by  the Superintendent on an as needed basis, for the purposes of transitioning to a new employee. Such consultation  shall not exceed 100 hours and shall be payable at her hourly rate.

 

Summer Paid Part-Time Appointments 

 Professional and Curriculum Development 

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve summer hours as approved by the Superintendent  not to exceed the following: 

Professional and Curriculum Development not to exceed 200 hours.
CSE Chairperson not to exceed 40 hours.
School Counselor not to exceed 40 hours. 
School Nurse not to exceed 20 hours. 
Extended School Year Teaching Staff. Not to exceed 30 hours weekly per staff member.

 

9. BOARD OF EDUCATION MATTERS

 

Holiday- Juneteenth, June 19, 2020 

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District hereby recognize and  approve June 19, 2020 as Juneteenth, which shall be a holiday for all 12 month staff, in accordance with Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order No. 204, and employees, who if not required to work, shall be entitled to leave at full pay without charge to existing accruals and those employees who are required to work, they shall receive one day of compensatory time.
