Menus

Our cafeteria has had to make adjustments to the school breakfast and lunch menus due to the nationwide supply chain shortages. With that, last minute adjustments to the menu may occur during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Online Prepayment

Menands offers the option to make deposits into your student’s cafeteria account through the online system MySchoolBucks. No longer worry about sending your child to school carrying money, receive alerts when your student’s balance is low, and make payments with your debit or credit card.

Get started by visiting www.myschoolbucks.com and register using the “Start Here” link. If you have any questions, please email Mike Tehan at mtehan@menands.org or Joanne Moran at jmoran@menands.org.

Student Meal Prices

Regular student lunch prices are as follows:

  • Breakfast: $1.50
  • Lunch: $2.35
  • Milk: $0.60

Free and Reduced Priced Meals Available For Qualifying Families

Menands School participates in the National School Lunch Program providing nutritious meals for all students. Free and reduced meals are provided daily based on household size and income. All information is kept strictly confidential. Families who may qualify for the Free and Reduced Meal Program will need to complete and submit a free/reduced meal application to determine if your child is eligible for free or reduced-price meals for the upcoming school year. Only one application needs to be submitted per household. You will be notified within 4-5 business days if you qualify for the program.

Parents are encouraged to submit the completed application to the district office BEFORE the start of school each year. Those who qualify will receive meals at no charge through the end of the school year.

Please contact Mike Tehan at (518) 465-4561, ext. 120 or by email at mtehan@menands.org for any application questions.
