Forty students were honored on June 23 for completing the first chapter of their educational careers.
Students in Chelsea Passaro, Pooja Gosai, Brianna McGlauflin and Erica Foley’s classes at the Menands School were celebrated by faculty, staff, family and friends during a ceremony at the school.
With family and friends cheering vociferously, the graduates received a diploma and a medal while reciting what their future career goals are.
Numerous students chose careers like firefighter, police officer, nurse, dancer and chef, but there were more than a few career paths that were drawn from less-traditional categories.
The young scholars also demonstrated the skills they learned this year, reciting the alphabet while also signing it with American Sign Language.
Principal Kathleen Wylie thanked the young students for their work throughout the year and their families for “trusting us with your children and partnering with us to provide love and support.”
