Menands parents: Register your child now for PreK

PreK twins pose in a hallwayParents of youth under the age of four-years-old are encouraged to register their children for the school’s full-day PreK program.

Children who will turn four-years-old by Dec. 1 are eligible to attend the program, which is made possible through state funding.

The program provides students with an opportunity to engage in play-based learning while exploring, identifying and expressing emotions, literacy, and communication skills. The program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch are provided daily.

A virtual information night will be held April 2 at 6 p.m. A link will be posted on the district website at a later time.

Eligibility is limited to Menands residents; 18 youth will be selected for the program through a random lottery held this spring.

Families must register their students before the lottery to be eligible for this program.
